Family Portraits


Many photographers start off with your favorite posed photos to begin your session. We all want the perfect smiles and everyone looking at the photographer. The ideal photo to send to loved ones.


I am typically NOT one of these photographers who does this. I like to let your family interact naturally to begin the session. I want everyone to take a deep breath and take in their surroundings. My preferred style of photography is "Lifestyle". Capturing genuine moments without forcing anything brings me so much joy to see when I am editing.


I promise we will try to snag that perfect Pinterest pose you have in your mind, but please remember to have patience with your family. Your husband might not love giving the perfect smile to a stranger right off the bat, your wife might need a moment to inform me of her "good side". Your teen might be in a "mood" let's give them a moment to reel it in. Your fur-baby might need a few moments to calm down and take in the new smells. Your toddler might need one more squeeze before he gives that dashing grin.


Whatever YOUR family needs, is what your session will be about. I won't pressure anyone into a pose if they aren't comfortable with it. Please do not worry about me. I am here to capture your story how ever it may look. Prepare to have fun, be goofy, and let everyone's personality shine through.

Our Children


These tiny humans are the biggest blessings. Their sweet innocence and outlook on life is what grounds us.



Photographing children can go one of two ways. They may love all the special attention and enjoy striking that perfect pose you are wanting. They also might shut down completely and become very withdrawn. Taking photos for a stranger who has a camera in front of her face can be very intimidating. Children's emotions are much bigger than ours. They process everything on another scale.


To begin sessions I like to play some fun interactive games with them. This usually helps them open up and get some "silly's" out. Red light - green light, ring around the rosies, and Simon Says are among my favorite.


Picking a package that allows enough time for your little one to shine for their session is very important. I have no expectations when it comes to photographing children and will take anything these sweet souls would like to share with me.

Please don't look back 10, 20, or 50 years from now and only have your Senior Highschool portraits, or your wedding photos to remember who YOU used to be. Let's dive deep- capture yourself in the "now".


Do it for the woman who has finally found herself, do it for the daughter who would love a portrait of her father as she knows him now, do it for your significant other who wants to show you off to the world, do it for YOU.
